Mollie R. Rothman-Cardell, 76, of Winnsboro passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025. Born in Jackson, MI, she was the daughter of the late Wallace Rothman and Noreen (nee Burdick) Rothman.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Jon Cardell; sister, Kathleen A. Gillette; nephews, Kurt Rothman and Josh Gillette (Jenni); niece, Mandy Allen.
Mollie married her husband Jon in December, 1982 in Cambridge, Ma. They lived in the Boston area until they moved to Winnsboro in 1994. Mollie worked as a paralegal in Winnsboro and in 2002 she started her own Title Abstracting Company, which she ran until her passing.
Mollie enjoyed reading, knitting and a number of other Arts & Crafts. She also took water aerobics classes and treasured the many friends she made there over the years.
She loved animals (except snakes) and made her husband change the channel every time an animal abuse commercial came on.
In addition to her parents, Mollie is predeceased by two brothers, Wilbur A. Rothman and Kenneth Michael Rothman, brother-in-law, Terry L. Gillette and sisters-in-law, Marianna Rothman and June Rothman.
A memorial service celebrating her life was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Pope Funeral Home in Winnsboro. The family received friends after the service at the funeral home.
