GREENVILLE – Bryson Felder, a resident of Blythewood, has been named to the Bob Jones University Bruins men’s basketball team roster for the 2025-26 academic year. Felder is a junior majoring in Sport Management at BJU.
Felder is a 2022 graduate of Westwood High School. As a senior, he averaged 19.7 points per game and 8.2 rebounds per game. He was awarded All-Region during his junior and senior seasons, and named a North-South All-Star his senior year.
Felder played his freshman season at Southern Wesleyan, where he started in 15 of 28 games he played in. In his freshman campaign, he averaged 12.5 points per game, tallying 349 total points, 85 rebounds, 19 assists, 11 blocks, and 11 steals. He was named Conference Carolinas men’s basketball freshman of the Month in Feb. 2023.
The reigning South Region champion Bob Jones’ men’s basketball team begins its season marking the start of a new era under Head Coach Tony Miller.
“We’re all excited to get going,” Coach Miller said. “We’re fortunate to have a great group of returnees who understand what it takes to have a championship culture.”
The Bruins will begin their new campaign October 23 as they travel to Montreat College to take on the Cavaliers. Their first NCCAA South Region game is shortly after on November 1 when they go to Laurel, Mississippi, to play Southeastern Baptist College for a weekend tip-off.
Their first of eight official home games comes on November 18 as they host Brevard College for a 7 p.m. tip-off. Following the Christmas break, they will host three consecutive important games at the Davis Field House against regional opponents Toccoa Falls College and Pensacola Christian College, followed by a game against Covenant College.
This season brings more opportunities for the Bruins to play schools at the NCAA DI and DII levels. There will be exhibitions at USC Upstate, Furman University and Winthrop College. The exhibition at Furman University Paladins will be played in the newly renovated Timmons Arena.
After an exciting regular season, the NCCAA DII South Region Tournament will be hosted by Toccoa Falls College beginning February 26. The Bruins will be looking for a region three-peat and another chance at a national title.
“The addition of seven new players who are ready to contribute gives us the chance to have a really special group,” said Miller.
