BLYTHEWOOD – Hundreds of young egg hunter-gatherers converged on Doko Park’s field of Easter dreams Saturday to once again fill their baskets with plastic eggs.
After a prayer by Village Church Pastor Erik Estep, the kids were on the hunt, chasing down more than 22,000 plastic eggs that they exchanged for bags of candy before heading to the food tent with their families for free hot dogs and barbeque sandwiches with all the trimmings.
But that wasn’t the only fun at the Village Church’s 24th annual Eggstravaganza. There were big slides, face painting, balloon animals, games, a prayer booth and, of course, the big bunny hopping by for Easter photos with the kids.
