Sion Presbyterian’s VBS theme this year was “It’s Game Time,” and most participants wore their favorite team’s colors, shirts and hats. The theme also encompassed the story of Woodlawn High School in 1970s Alabama, whose football coach led his team of 40 players, both black and white, in giving themselves to Christ and dedicating their football season to healing, inclusion and working together during the turbulent years of desegregation.
