WINNSBORO — A Winnsboro woman won $507,000 on Palmetto Cash 5 after playing the same numbers for years, lottery officials said.
According to the South Carolina Education Lottery, the winner bought the ticket at Cuz’s Corner on South Congress Street in Winnsboro and described matching all five numbers as an incredible experience.
“It was unreal,” she told lottery officials.
On top of everything, the prize had rolled over 23 times before her win, meaning it was worth $507,000. As for what’s next, the Winnsboro winner said she’s going to invest the money.
Cuz’s Corner will also earn a nice commission for selling the ticket, amounting to about $5,070. Odds of winning this Palmetto Cash 5 jackpot were one in 850,688.
