COLUMBIA – Fairfield Central notched its second region win with a 49-20 thump of Eau Claire last week.
TyQuarius Shannon had four touchdowns as the Griffins took down the Shamrocks 49-20 on Friday. Fairfield Central held Eau Claire to 379 total yards of offense, allowing just 81 rushing yards.
The Griffins, now 2-1 in region play, have a bye this week and then wrap up the regular season with a home game against Columbia Oct. 31.
Columbia is 0-2 in region play with a 32-8 loss to Mid-Carolina on Oct. 10 and a 40-0 shutout by Chester last week.
