BLYTHEWOOD – The Blythewood Farmer’s Market hosted its second annual Farmers Banquet Friday night at the Blythewood Presbyterian Church’s outdoor pavilion.
Ninety attendees, including town council members and candidates, regular shoppers, vendors, and families, enjoyed a signature cocktail, then live music from The Millhands bluegrass band. The evening featured a video celebrating the community’s local farmers. A nine course meal was prepared by chef Andrew Gajadhar, and served by high school volunteers from both Blythewood and Westwood High Schools.
“We hope this new tradition will become a favorite in our town,” said Market Manager Michaela Barno, “and also among culinary events in the Midlands.”
