WINNSBORO – Fairfield County School District has announced that Superintendent Alvin Pressley has returned from medical leave and resumed his duties on Nov. 1.

With Mr. Pressley’s return, Dr. Tracie Swilley will resume her role as Assistant Superintendent of Academics, continuing her work to support students, families, and staff throughout the district.
In a letter to the District, Pressley expressed his appreciation to the community for their support during his medical leave.
“I am deeply grateful for the outpouring of support, patience, and encouragement extended to me during my recovery,” he wrote. “Your kindness and understanding have meant more than words can express.
“Throughout my absence, I remained in close communication with our district leadership team and continued to be inspired by the exceptional dedication demonstrated by our staff at every level.
“I wish to extend my sincere appreciation to Dr. Tracie Swilley, Assistant Superintendent, for her outstanding leadership and steadfast commitment to our mission.
“As I return, I do so with renewed strength, gratitude, and an unwavering focus on our shared vision of Growing Griffin Greatness.
“Together, we will continue to ensure that every student in Fairfield County receives an excellent education in a supportive and thriving learning environment.”
