HOLLY HILL – Richard Winn’s football team saw their season come to an end Friday with a 38-20 loss to undefeated Holly Hill Academy in the first round of the SCISA 8-man playoffs.
With a strong ground game and special teams play, including a 55-yard punt return for a touchdown, Holly Hill took control of the game early.
Down 30-0 at halftime, the Eagles found some footing to battle back in the second half with scores from Walker Blackwelder, Dylan Wood, and Hoffman Sharpe, but the deficit proved too much to overcome.
Richard Winn finishes the season at 4-7, while Holly Hill (11-0) advances to face Laurens Academy (8-2) in the second round.
