FLORENCE – The Blythewood High School senior Audra Petroff capped off her career by securing a fourth-place finish in the 155-pound division in the SCHSL Girls Wrestling State Championships this weekend at the Florence Civic Center. After a standout junior campaign where she first burst onto the state scene, Petroff returned this year with a target on her back. She entered the state tournament following a dominant performance as the Upper State Runner-Up, carrying a season record of 40-10 into the final weekend.

“Audra leaves Blythewood with a phenomenal legacy,” the coaching staff posted on Facebook following the meet. “To see what she has accomplished in essentially two seasons of high-level competition is nothing short of incredible.”

Under the leadership of Head Coach Paul Watson, Petroff has been a cornerstone of a Blythewood program that has quickly become a powerhouse in South Carolina High School League women’s wrestling. With 75 wins and a permanent spot in the record books, her legacy is secure as a pioneer who helped put Blythewood girls’ wrestling on the map.
