The Race is On

With humble appreciation, I would like to thank everyone in District 3 who signed the petition to have me participate in the General Election on Nov. 4 as a nominee for the Fairfield County Council, District 3. I exceeded the minimal number of signatures required by state law and I have recently received my letter from the Fairfield County Elections Office confirming my candidacy for County Council. Your overwhelming response by signatures to the petition tells me that you all are ready to see significant changes in our county that will make us a recognizable competitor in the Midlands of South Carolina for business, technology, and education.

For those of you who do not know me well, I have been a long time resident of Fairfield County. My roots run deep here. I love this county and it is my home. I have over 40 years of experience in the healthcare industry and I am an active, licensed realtor in this area. I am also currently serving on the Jenkinsville Water Board.

Over the past several years, I have been an active participant in many of the committees and initiatives taking place throughout the county and I have had the opportunity to meet many of you. In our discussions, you have shared with me your concerns about healthcare, transportation, water and sewage, roads and recreation. Many of these issues, properly addressed, can make our county a place where businesses will want to relocate or expand. This would create the jobs for many of our citizens and richly improve the quality of life for all of our citizens. It would also contribute to the resources we would need to provide meaningful programs for senior citizens and our children.

I am committed to serving this great county of South Carolina and representing you. I would be happy to meet with any of your church, community or civic groups to discuss the issues that are important to you. I also welcome any of you to call and speak with me personally so that we can work together to make our county the shining star in the state it deserves to be.

I ask now for your vote on Nov. 4 to elect me, Tangee Brice Jacobs, as your Fairfield County Council District 3 Representative.

Tangee Jacobs
