WINNSBORO – Every year, the Fairfield County Museum’s annual holiday open house heralds the Fairfield community’s Christmas season. And so it did once more on Sunday evening with music and refreshments in the midst of the museum’s many treasures.
The garden clubs of Winnsboro and the surrounding area had lavishly festooned the halls and rooms of the museum in the season’s greenery.
As guests arrived, they visited and nibbled on homemade holiday sandwiches and sweets and sipped cold holiday punch, prepared and served by several of the museum’s volunteer staff.
In the parlor, traditional holiday music was provided throughout the evening by local musicians including Laurens Livings accompanying her voice students and the Douglas Family singing carols.
