Trisha’s Closet lends a hand to needy

BLYTHEWOOD – Trisha’s Closet is a special four-room closet at Sandy Level Baptist Church filled with gently used, clean clothing for families in need. The closet is named for Patricia (Trisha) Goodwin, a former member of the church and the Blythewood community who died of cancer in 2012 at the age of 45.

“We named it after Trisha because she was always dressed to the nines and because she was the kind of person who would have wanted folks who are in need of clothing to dress just as well as she did,” said Anne Branham, one of the closet’s founders.

Families needing clothing can contact the church office at 754-1299. The closet is open the third Saturday of every month from 9 – 12. The church is located in Blythewood at 408 Blythewood Road.

I live out Langford Road and retired a few years ago. I have dressy and business casual trousers that are in excellent condition that I can share. Let me know if these items can be used. Thanks.
