Filing opens Feb. 21 for two seats in Jenkinsville election

JENKINSVILLE – Residents in Jenkinsville will be going to the poll Tuesday, May 3, 2022 to elect two town councilmen. Anyone wishing to run for one of the open seats on council can file at Fairfield County Voter Registration and Elections Office at 315 S. Congress Street in Winnsboro beginning at noon on Monday, Feb. 21, 2022. Filing will close at noon on Friday, March 4. 

Any person wishing to register to vote in this election must do so no later than Monday, April 4, 2022. Contact the Fairfield County Voter Registration and Elections office at 315 S. Congress Street in Winnsboro (803-635-6255) for more information about how to register.

Voting will take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., at the Jenkinsville Volunteer Fire Department, 7104 State Hwy215 S. in Jenkinsville.

Only citizens residing in the town limits of Jenkinsville who are properly registered to vote will be eligible to vote in this election. Citizens can check their voter registration status at SCVotes.org.

    There are on my last count only 49 people living in GINYARDVILLE
    How can they find 2 more to be on the board I presume that would be too much nepotism.
