BHS students receive Chamber scholarships

BLYTHEWOOD – Zachary Valsecchi, Jessica Whitlock and Asia Williams were each awarded a $2,000 scholarship during the Blythewood Chamber of Commerce’s Tuesday morning breakfast meeting

Each of these recipients completed their careers at Blythewood High School graduating in the top three percent of their senior class. Having taken multiple AP classes and maintaining a S.C. UGP Grade Point Average exceeding 5.0, these students will receive scholarships in the amount of $2,000.00 each based on their submitted applications and the chamber’s scholarship qualification criteria including Scholastic Achievement, Student and Community Involvement and Service, Personal Essay, Personal Interview and Need as determined by the chamber’s scholarship committee for 2023.

Jessica Whitlock will be attending the University of South Carolina Honors College and plans to pursue a degree in Chemistry.

Asia Williams will be attending Clemson University and plans to pursue a degree in Marketing.

Zachary Valsecchi will be attending the University of South Carolina Honors College and plans to seek a degree in Environmental Science.
