Coleman files for Fairfield Sheriff

FAIRFIELD COUNTY – Another candidate has filed to run for Fairfield County Sheriff. Wallace D. Coleman of Blair, announced his candidacy, saying that as Sheriff, one of his main priorities is to resolve the unsolved murder cases in Fairfield County.

“To do this I will provide more law enforcement presence in our communities,” Coleman said in a statement submitted to The Voice. “There will be deputies patrolling the neighborhoods. Thus, reducing neighborhood conditions that create an environment which cultivates crimes. As law enforcement officials we can work together to repair and strengthen the relationship we’ve established within the community.”

Current Sheriff Will Montgomery and challenger Ricky Gibson are also running for Sheriff in the June 11 primary election. Read about Montgomery and Gibson here.
