Looking Sharpe

Blythewood’s gospel-singing Sharpes (Vance & Jeannie) will perform a free concert in Drawdy Park Sunday evening, from 6 – 8 p.m. The Church of the Nazarene’s Children’s Department will sell barbeque sandwiches and other goodies to raise funds for their missions. The church is located at 650 North Street in Winnsboro.

Army veteran Sidney Squirewell of Ridgeway had some help turning 99 last week when friends Tom Connor, left, Don Prioleau, Squirewell, Henry Dixon and Squirewell’s son, Herbert Squirewell, treated him to lunch and a birthday cake at Laura’s Tea Room in Ridgeway.  

Pollinating the Park
