Blythewood High School crowned its 2013 Homecoming King and Queen Friday night during halftime of the Bengals’ football game against Lugoff-Elgin. Javier Martinez (left) wore the King’s crown, while Teal Britt was elected Queen. First runners up were Michael Carson (King) and Alex Baker (Queen). All are seniors at BHS.

Lady Griffins Fall to North Central

Fairfield Central’s Dajai Robertson returns a North Central serve Tuesday. The Lady Griffins fell to the Lady Knights in straight sets, 25-14, 25-12 and 25-12.
