Blythewood Christmas Parade applications due Nov. 1

BLYTHEWOOD – There’s still time to be part of one of Blythewood’s most cherished holiday traditions – the annual Christmas Parade.

Set for 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, applications for float entries and sponsorships are due by Saturday, Nov. 1.

The parade’s theme this year, “Storybook Christmas,” invites participants to bring favorite holiday tales to life with lights, costumes, and creative designs.

Entry fees are $50 per float, or $25 for nonprofits, veterans, and military participants. Elected officials, first responders, grand marshals, and school organizations may enter free of charge. Sponsorships range from $150 to $300, and sponsors have the option to include a complimentary float entry.

The parade, which travels along Main St., Blythewood Rd., and Boney Rd, will take place rain or shine, although Sunday, Dec. 14 is reserved as a severe weather date.

For more information or to apply, visit the Town of Blythewood’s website: townofblythewoodsc.gov/residents_and_visitors_/christmas_parade.php.
