COLUMBIA – Ridgeway resident and businesswoman Tina Johnson has been awarded the Order of the Silver Crescent, recognizing her retirement after 41 years of dedicated service to the Forest Acres Police Department. Rep. Beth Bernstein (House Dist. 78) presented the award on behalf of the Governor’s office.

The Order of the Silver Crescent is the state’s highest civilian award for significant community service and achievements, serving as a companion to the Order of the Palmetto.

Johnson served as the administrative assistant to former Chief Gene Sealy and continued her vital role under the current administration.

“Thank you for affording me the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a community I deeply love,” Johnson said, thanking the City of Forest Acres for the honor.

In addition to her public service career, Johnson is a well-known figure in Fairfield County as the owner of Over the Top Boutique in downtown Ridgeway.
