BLYTHEWOOD – A significant new addition to the Blythewood skyline is set to rise this weekend. Village Church invites the community to witness the installation of a massive cross atop its new worship center on Sunday, Dec. 21.
The event will take place at 12:15 p.m., immediately following the church’s 11 a.m. service, at 574 Rimer Pond Road.
The church says that the installation of the 36-foot by 8-foot cross represents a meaningful benchmark as construction continues on the new 1,200-seat worship center.
The facility is scheduled for completion in early spring 2026. According to church leadership, the expansion is designed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing Blythewood area and strengthen the church’s mission to serve the community.
Community members are welcome to attend the raising of the cross.
