BLYTHEWOOD – The VillageKids Choir performed the musical “Real Life” on Friday March 15 at VillageChurch under the direction of Jonathan Ruth, the church’s Director of Choirs.
“The musical was based on the scripture from Colossians 3:2-4, Ruth said. “That scripture reads, ‘Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your REAL LIFE is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all His glory.’
“The cast shared how to have real life in Jesus,” Ruth said. “The choir sang about God and his love for us in songs like ‘God is Awesome,’ ‘Every Move I Make’ and ‘Nearer, Deeper, Higher.’”
The VillageKids Choir is for ages Kindergarten through 5th grade and meets on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. for rehearsal.
“They have many chances to participate in worship in and outside the church,” Ruth explained. “The choir formed in the Fall of 2017 with the goal to help children in the church become everyday worshippers of Jesus Christ by sealing his word on our hearts through song. We play games, dance, sing, and have fun worshipping God.
