BLYTHEWOOD (Jan. 31, 2017) – Three Redhawk wrestlers were crowned Region III champions, with two other Redhawks finishing as runners-up in the region tournament Saturday at Westwood High School. Daerius McCaskill, Bryce Harkness and Raekwon Davis earned Region championships for their weight classes, while Sky Davis and Robert Sumpter were runners-up for their weight classes.

OAK ISLAND, N.C. – Morris Lee Harwell, 79, of Oak Island passed away on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 at his home. He was the son of the late W.V. and Eva Pauline Harwell of Charlotte. Mr. Harwell was born Sept. 12, 1937. He was a member of Community Church and a longtime volunteer for WAVES4K.I.D.S.
