WINNSBORO – After falling 58-50 to Clinton on Jan. 9, the Griffin boys claimed a dominant 52-29 region win over Eau Claire on Tuesday. Kelvin Watson led Griffin scorers with 10 points. The Griffin squad tallied 46 rebounds, 21 assists, 19 steals and two blocked shots.
Rashawn Brown put up 27 points against Clinton to lead the Griffins.
The Griffin girls fell 44-16 to Clinton on Friday, then dropped a narrow 34-30 win to Eau Claire on Tuesday.
Both Griffin teams will travel to Columbia on Thursday, then host Mid-Carolina on Jan. 20.
