Bengal singers earn all-state honors

BLYTHEWOOD – Eight Blythewood High singers (a school record) earned All-State honors based on their Nov. 9 auditions at Cayce United Methodist Church.

Senior Michaela Catoe (Alto I); Juniors Kathryn Alexander (Alto I), Chandler Bree (Baritone), Lisa Ortuno (Alto I), and Jerry Windhorn (Baritone); Sophomores Marvin Boyd (Bass), Khaleel Hunter (Tenor II), and Jacob Rabino (Baritone) earned the honors. This is each singer’s first time being selected and the first time auditioning for some of them.

These students travel to Winthrop University in March, 2018 to perform with other South Carolina All-State winners.
