BLYTHEWOOD – Blythewood High School’s Aidan Shay and his Lady Bengal counterpart, Loranna Austin, led the pack of 40 midlands players named to South Carolina Coaches All-State Soccer Teams. Shay, a team captain, tallied 34 points on 10 goals and four assists. Austin racked up 21 points this season with eight goals and five assists.
BLYTHEWOOD – Landon Lucas was a pivotal piece of the Blythewood baseball program this season and for his work he has received an All-State selection. Lucas batted .398 this season with six home runs, eight doubles and 30 RBIs. He also got the job done on the mound for the Bengals. He had four wins
BLYTHEWOOD – Blythewood Bengals basketball standout Robert Braswell made the announcement Sunday that come this fall he will be taking his talents to college basketball powerhouse Syracuse University. Braswell selected to play for Syracuse Hall-of-Famer and national title winning coach Jim Boeheim over Oklahoma State and Massachusetts. Braswell averaged 15 points, eight rebounds, two steals
