Hargett wins division in golf tourney

Eddie Hargett of Blythewood won the amateur division of the Columbia Men’s City Golf Tournament, which ended Saturday at the Columbia Country Club.

Hargett shot 70-69-67 for a 206 total, two shots ahead of runner-up Jordan Sease of Lexington. Buck Leigh, a fellow Columbia Country Club member, won the super-senior division. Leigh posted a round of 71-73-72 to win by three shots over Gerald Gross. Tournament organizer Bobby Foster presented the awards following Saturday’s play. More than 100 players from throughout the Midlands competed in the three-day event.
