Richard Winn junior Lila Smith was awarded SCISA Class A All-Region and named to the SCISA Class A All-Star team. The Class 1A North team went 5-0 on the day, defeating 2A North, 2A South, 1A South, 3A North and 4A North.

LEXINGTON – For the fifth year in a row, Blythewood High School’s competitive cheer squad claimed the Region 3-5A title. The team qualified for the State meet during Saturday’s qualifier at Lexington High School. The State Meet will be held Saturday, Nov. 19 at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia. WINNSBORO – Fairfield Central breezed past Ninety Six in the first round of the SCHSL 2A State Playoffs last Friday with a 28-7 final. Fairfield’s offense tallied 412 all-purpose yards on the night, 272 of those through the air. Senior Jai Boyd had 98 yards on 3 receptions, include one for a touchdown. JaShaun Manning
